Whatever Stage You're In....

                                    We can help!

Stage 1 - Surprise, What is an IRWMP?

This is a newer program that developed from planning methods in several areas including Southern California that look at many strategies and methods to address water quality, water quantity, and many other water and environmental approaches together with the organizations and stakeholders in a region to achieve its priorities.

This innovative approach has been funded by several Initiatives and Propositions including 13, 40, 50, and 84. DWR and the State Board jointly manage grant programs that support regional proposals generated by this planning method.

State 2 - I want to apply for funding what should I do?

Many regions of the State have IRWM plans in progress or completed.  Check to see if you are in one of the integrated planning regions that have received a DWR planning grant or State Board planning grant, if so contact the agency and ask to become involved, they will likely welcome it. If you are not in one of those areas check to see if there is a Phase II proposal, if you are not in an active planning area; you may have to do a little more research or even start your own plan.
